They agreed to try and work to it out, but after about five minutes, they gave up and so did he. Not long after that, the cat came out of the bag when Jamal got both Lucious and Cookie to come to his studio session to help him with the song. Later on when Hakeem finds out about Cookie and Jamal, Hakeem tells her that he needs her help too, so she better get it together or he’s going to rat them out to Lucious. Cookie runs and hides in the back while Lucious plays Jamal the Pepsi song he made for him. They were working on it until the next morning, when Cookie asked him, “What are we musically?” Before Jamal could answer, he saw Lucious coming to the door. Although Lucious planned to work with him on the song, Jamal had plans to sneak Cookie Lyon over to his place and work on it with her. The next morning at an Empire board meeting, Pepsi showed up to talk with Empire about Jamal Lyon possibly being the face of the company. At least she’s not picking a man over her son. Cookie slapped the taste out of Delgado’s mouth and told him not to ever touch her son. Oh yea, Delgado and Hakeem got in an argument, leading Delgado to push him. But what’s done is done, so he’s going to have to go through with it. Cookie doesn’t think was a good idea to accept the challenge., because she knows that if he looses, Lucious has control. You know he’s not going down without a fight. Speaking of which, Hakeem was hanging out with Laura, who I’m assuming is now his girlfriend, when he found out about the track. Becky tells him he’s wrong for it, but Lucious doesn’t care – he just wants to hurt Hakeem.

We, as always, get to see out the head of the family tries to slither his way into stuff to get what he wants, but we also see the whole family together again after a rap battle.
